Consecrated Statue: Dionysus

Celebration - Ecstasy - Wine - Plants - Arts - Pleasure - Fertility

Dionysus (Bacchus in Roman) is an ancient Greco-Roman God, known for:

1. Wine: As the god of wine, Dionysus is often depicted with a kantharos, a large two-handled goblet
2. Vegetation: He represents the sap, juice, or lifeblood element in nature, which is reflected in his association with fruiting grapevines.
3. Pleasure and Festivity: Dionysus is known for inspiring ecstasy and wild frenzy, often depicted in lavish festal celebrations.
4. Theater and Arts: Dionysus' cult had special importance for art and literature, with performances of tragedy and comedy in Athens being part of his festivals.
5. Fertility: His followers included spirits of fertility, such as satyrs and sileni.
6. Nature and Cycles: He's associated with various animals and the changing seasons, symbolized by his attributes like the thyrsos (pine-cone tipped staff).

About Consecration
At the Sanctum, we work with the Divine Mother when consecrating Deities, and this allows us to work with them outside of a religious context. As such, there is no need to follow any religious practice (especially closed practices), though you're free to do so should you subscribe to them!
How to Display Consecrated Statues
Remember, consecration means that the Deities are present. Do treat these as sacred objects, and display them in a clean, dedicated place such as an altar or a cleared space on a table or shelf.
Is Consecration Permanent?
The Deities are not bound to the objects, but are instead present in the Sacred Space that the Mother has anchored on the objects. Therefore, it is up to Their discretion to stay or leave, though they generally will not leave as long as you treat them with respect, and refrain from actions that go against their moral code (in general, just being a good person and/or having the sincere aspiration to be a better person is sufficient).
Offerings
As Mother and the Deities transcend religion, there is no need to follow religious traditions when it comes to offerings, though you're free to do so should you subscribe to said religions. In general, you can't go wrong with fruits, with the added bonus that you can consume them after offering to reduce waste!
Deities would not want you to spent too much on offerings, and would rather that you donated to charity than spent it on flowers!
